From Our Family
to yours
Living & building in the Pacific Northwest.
As a local, family-run company, we build homes in our own backyard. That’s just one of the many reasons we focus on nurturing relationships for a lifetime. Valuing our clients as cherished friends means we believe in doing things the right way. We put our all into our workmanship and proudly stand behind our process and our product. That starts with communicating clearly and openly as we walk you through every step of the home build journey. As licensed realtors since 1992, our knowledgable team can even help you choose and purchase the land to build your home on. It’s our goal to offer you full-service support from the first design conception to the finishing touches so you’re left with a final result you can love for years to come.
John Gerritz
president & owner
As President of Gerritz Custom Homes, John’s success is founded on one simple principle: doing things right.
A locally renowned land developer, expert homebuilder, and business man, John has launched more than 10 corporations and LLCs and developed more than $250 million in real estate. A Street of Dreams builder two times over, John is a certified Master Builder and licensed principle real estate broker.
“Integrity and caring are the backbone of our business. I’ve successfully built over 600 homes but, more importantly, I’ve been honored to earn the friendship of many wonderful people who began as clients. I believe in doing it right.
We always find solutions and assume full responsibility for our work. Because our work consistently exceeds client expectations, I have never been sued for construction issues.
We spend time in the neighborhoods where we build, so when we talk to clients about their new home, we speak from first-hand knowledge of their desired community and decades of construction experience.”
John likes to golf and he and his wife, Tammy, enjoy destination travel and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
Logan Gerritz
marketer & broker
Logan has been part of the family business all his life and expertly markets each Gerritz Custom Homes project. Logan earned his degree at Portland State University where he majored in real estate finance with a land development minor. His history as a project manager for the company gives him an intimate knowledge of the high building standards used in each Gerritz home build. He is also a licensed real estate agent.
“I love helping our clients and I love making people realize they have a choice to be happy. Part of the way I do that is to show our clients that no matter what’s happening with their new home, we’ve got it handled. Something is going to go sideways when you’re building a house from the ground up. I don’t let obstacles get in the way of constructing our homes on time, on budget and the way our clients want it done. We’ve been through hard times, especially in 2008 when the housing market crashed. It taught me there’s no point in being down or depressed. We each have our own mindset and we get to decide what we’re going to do with our days. Because I always have a positive outlook – and I do my job well – our clients feel they can relax and enjoy the process, worry-free.“
Logan is an avid and skilled golfer, but his true passion is motivating people to stay positive “no matter what”. He is celebrated among family and friends for his generous heart and “keep believing!” attitude. Learn more about Logan by visiting his website, www.logangerritzrealty.com .
Tammy Gerritz
in house design
Her innate ability to visualize interior and exterior spaces simply by looking at floor plans and lot maps is invaluable to both the client and the team. She delights in helping each homeowner choose the finishes, features, and flooring that reflect their personality and takes pleasure in driving them to various suppliers to make their selections on site. The end result is a comfortable, functional, and strikingly sophisticated home environment that clients will enjoy for years.
“I like making all the pieces fit and I enjoy the client relationship because it’s fun. It’s a pleasure to make clients’ dreams come together.”
In here free time, Tammy loves taking exercise classes and spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoys golf and is quick to declare that she beats John every time they play.’
As you can tell, Tammy is a bit of a spit-fire with a knack for making things fun. She adores John, her children and grandchildren and loves entertaining, frequently organizing family gatherings for “conversation and good food.”
